What is this Blog About?

I will occasionally post this entry right smack-dab in the center of this blog to acquaint new readers with its background and purpose, and of course, to thank my loyal readers for their patronage!

Background....

I´m a resident of Costa Rica, living in the Central Valley, involved in tourism businesses, blogging, and travel writing.  I am not a real estate agent or investor/speculator nor am I involved in business transactions with any of the properties, realtors, lawyers and builders listed on this site.  I don´t profess to be a real estate expert, but I´ve learned a lot living here and know my way around!  I certainly will not provide any advice on a property you may wish to purchase or want to sell.  Use your best judgment and remember, "if it sounds too good to be true...." it probably is!

Purpose....

I created this blog because when I bought a home here, I saw a dizzing array of real estate web sites, message boards, travel and living information, etc., and spent hours and hours going through them.  This blog was created to bring a number of resources together from real estate to living here to health care, and more, but it´s main focus is to help you, the reader, find additional information about real estate in Costa Rica.  I hope this serves you well.  If you like this blog, please tell your friends!

I am in fact here legally. Actually, I have been coming to Costa Rica regularly for over 10 years and at weeks/months at a time and know the country well. I never said my advice was "expert" but I have gone through all of the trials and tribulations of what many are going through now and I enjoy helping others. That is my only motivation. In terms of my length of time here permanently, it is actually a help that I have a perhaps less time than others as what I've gone through is fresh in my mind.

Are you a legal resident or just residing there? I have read your blog and your Angel Valley B&B site so know you have been living in Costa Rica just over a year.
Don't you think you should live here a bit longer before you offer 'expert'advice to other folk?
