10 Things I Love About the Rainy Season in Costa Rica

Yes, the rainy season has arrived!  For some, that may suggest it is not a good time to visit a tropical country such as Costa Rica.  I disagree and here are some reasons why it's a great time to be here--and I'm on my third rainy season!

1. Everything is green and lush!
2. Most of the day is glorious with only afternoon rains.
3. Rain is a great excuse for taking a nap.
4. There are less tourists.
5. Hotel rates are lower.
6. You don't need to water your garden for these six months as nature does it for you!
7. Rain is a good excuse for getting those indoor chores done.
8. Rain provides a great reason buying a new pair of boots!
9. Dogs love playing the rain.
10. There are less tourists. :-)
